    Regulatory Tips

      Construction, Demolition, and Renovation Sites
Enclosed areas outside of construction, demolition or renovation sites should be kept clean and free of dust or debris. ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) permits should be posted and kept up to date.
      Space Heaters
With cooler weather approaching, a reminder that portable space heaters are prohibited in patient treatment areas per The Joint Commission. Nurses stations are considered patient treatment areas. Non-patient treatment areas occupied by staff are permitted to have portable space heaters but must contain heating elements not exceeding 212 °F.
      Badge Safety
ID badges should be worn at a level that is visible for all. Please do not swipe your badge, hang your badge, or share your badge to grant access to locked areas. Be mindful of holding doors open for individuals who do not have a badge visible or displayed.
