Saturday, Nov. 8, marks the 130th anniversary of the discovery of radiography by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen.
Medical imaging has gone on to revolutionize medicine. Radiologic technologists now comprise the third largest group of health care professionals nationwide.
Radiologic technologists provide our patients with timely and accurate imaging. These same medical imaging tests are often safer and less expensive than the invasive procedures they replace.
Imaging prevents unnecessary hospital admissions, decreases lengths of hospital stays and helps to lower health care costs for all Americans.
Tremendous advances in patient care have been accomplished through research, collaboration, and innovation in radiologic technology. We celebrate those accomplishments this week, National Radiologic Technology Week.
Thank you to all technologists, who put our patients first!
