Our commitment to engagement starts on day one.

The Office of Professional Well-Being and Engagement plays a key role in fostering a culture of connection, purpose, and community across UConn Health. Through initiatives like the New Employee Orientation, the Ambassador Program, and ongoing events throughout the year, we help employees feel welcomed, supported, and empowered from day one. Our goal is to create an environment where all individuals feel seen, heard, and valuedbecause engaged teams are the foundation of a thriving workplace.

New Employee Orientation

Our New Employee Orientation is more than a welcome, it's the foundation for a connected and informed experience at UConn Health. New employees are introduced to our mission, values, and culture through engaging sessions that go beyond paperwork. We highlight the people, programs, and resources available to support their success, and create early opportunities to feel part of our community from day one.

Ambassador Program

The Ambassador program extends the welcome beyond by serving as a friendly point of contact for all stages of the employee life cycle. Ambassadors help answer questions, offer tips for navigating day-to-day life at UConn Health, volunteer their time at our numerous campus-wide events, and overall, provide personal support to ensure every employee feels connected, confident, and cared for.
