Our volunteers are an extension of our dedicated staff that support the medical, academic, and research departments at UConn Health. We work together to uphold the values of UConn Health: excellence, teamwork, leadership, and innovation. Through these values and the help of our volunteers, we can reach out to serve and promote wellness for our community.

Responsibilities of a Department Sponsor

• Provide department-specific “first day” training.
• Provide ongoing department-level training, coaching, and engagement.
• Manage volunteer schedule and time off requests.
• Communicate any questions or concerns to the Volunteer Services administration.
• Annual review (Q4).
