The mission of the Office of Radiation Safety (ORS) is to manage the day-to-day implementation of UConn Health’s Radiation Safety Program with the support of the Radiation Safety Committee (RSC) and UConn Health Management. The main goals of this program are to meet all state, federal, and other agency regulatory compliance requirements and maintain exposures at UConn Health facilities as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) for staff, patients, and visitors.
