This Week’s Question
Because the payment kiosk in Garage 1 hasn’t been working for a while now, we have employees who don’t pay for Area 1 parking there, and patients not paying a fee to park. Can we address this?
Thank you for your question. We have been in the process of upgrading the equipment in our parking garages, and Allan Peterson, our director of Administrative Support Services, which includes parking, reports that we are close to executing a contract for the new equipment. The target date for installation is this spring.
For the weeks until then, we have parking staff monitoring the area and redirecting employees and students to the appropriate locations. Understanding they can’t be everywhere all the time, we ask our workforce and learners to voluntarily comply and park in their designated areas.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Do You Have a Question for Dr. Liang?
In keeping with the emphasis on employee engagement, I am happy to hear what matters to you, directly from you. This will help inform our leadership team as we continue the vision of making the success of UConn Health a collaborative institutional effort.
So keep asking questions, sharing stories or concerns, and telling me what you think I should know, and we'll keep choosing one to run in The Pulse each week. Submissions that include a name and email (encouraged but not required) will enable me to respond directly.
Thank you for your help keeping this channel of communication open!
How It Works
Dear Dr. Liang is a forum to submit questions about anything. In addition to a personal response back to you, questions and answers may be posted on The Hub's homepage or in other forums. You can choose to remain anonymous by not including your name, department, and email.
Questions selected for publication will not include the submitter's name and email, and may be edited for length, style, and grammar.
