IT employs a solution from Commvault called Edge Monitor to schedule nightly/daily backups of your desktop or laptop. We highly recommend this service as it protects against data loss on your computer or laptop due to a system crash or loss. Our technician will install Commvault Edge Monitor in the background with no impact on local machine performance. When this is installed the default directories on your desktop or laptop will be backed up automatically.  If you need any specific files or folders backed up you can add those to the backup as well, simply ask your technician to make this change for you.
