Sitecore Roles

Sitecore sets various user roles to manage your website.

Depending upon on the role, you are presented with access to the following areas:

Content Author

• Experience Editor - View the web page as it shows in the browser and modify page properties and content directly on the page.
• Media Library - View and manage images and document files on your website.
• Workbox - View and manage all pages currently in workflows and the workflow states they are in.

Content Approver

• Experience Editor - View the web page as it shows in the browser and modify page properties and content directly on the page.
• Media Library - View and manage images and document files on your website.
• Workbox - View and manage all pages currently in workflows and the workflow states they are in.

Publisher

• Content Editor - View a content tree structure of your website and edit page properties and content.
• Experience Editor - View the web page as it shows in the browser and modify page properties and content directly on the page.
• Media Library - View and manage images and document files on your website.
• Recycle Bin - Retrieve any page(s) previously deleted from your website.

System Administrator

• Content Editor - View a content tree structure of your website and edit page properties and content.
• Experience Editor - View the web page as it shows in the browser and modify page properties and content directly on the page.
• Media Library - View and manage images and document files on your website.
• Workbox - View and manage all pages currently in workflows and the workflow states they are in.
• Recycle Bin - Retrieve any page(s) previously deleted from your website.
